Job description

A position has become available for a full-time Sheet Metal Operative / Fabricator for a prototype engineering company based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week, 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday – Thursday, 7.30am – 1.00pm Friday. Salary will up to £19.80 per hour + overtime for the right candidate.

Role Requirements

· Solid background of working within a Sheet Metal Department

· Good grasp of basic numeracy

· Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills

· Ability to work under pressure when meeting deadlines

· Strong team player

· Physically fit

· Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the company and team members

· Ability to operate different tools, and troubleshoot equipment problems

Role Responsibilities

· Working within our busy Sheet Metal department you will have experience of operating laser cutting machines, press brakes, turret machines

· Carrying out final assembly of our product ensuring that the items are finished according to the customer’s specification.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with fast changing priorities
