Mobile Caretaker – Stevenage £12.88 per hour Temporary Opportunity

Overview

Caretaker required! We are looking for a person who is interested in becoming a caretaker. You must have a full British driving license and be over 23 year of age (for insurance), cleaning experience would be good, although not essential– £12.88 per hour.

The job includes the following tasks, and more!

• Cleaning common areas (including carpets) within buildings including fixtures and fittings, internal glass, lifts, notice boards etc.
• Cleaning of human bodily fluids (including blood), Cleaning of pigeon and other animal faeces.
• Remove graffiti where possible and if necessary use spot painting in accordance with procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• Remove and ensure the safe disposal of dangerous objects (e.g. discarded needles and drug paraphernalia etc)
• Reporting repairs through inspection sheets or call through on reporting system.
• Checking the appearance/operation of bin chutes, dry risers, dampers in high rise blocks, fire prevention equipment, laundry rooms and equipment (including collection of tokens) electrical equipment, fire alarms door entry equipment etc. Undertaking/arranging remedial action as required, including rotation of bins.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bin stores and equipment, reporting damage etc.
• Checking and clearing drains, gutters etc. to ensure adequate escape of water, especially after snow or heavy rain.
• To work weekends on a rotation basis.
• Deliver urgent correspondence and distribute Housing literature as required.
