Overview
We have just been given the opportunity to work with a great local Engineering business, recruiting a Production Machinist / CNC Operator, who will undertake production of finished parts using their state-of-the-art CNC .
Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom plastic components, due to retirement, we are now looking to recruit a CNC engineer, setter, programmer turner, to work making intricate plastic parts for many different types of industry, this position could suit a recently qualified apprentice with good hands-on engineering skills or an experienced engineer who would like to work within a small team.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability and motivation to work on their initiative, to produce precision parts working on our clients’ extensive range of up-to-date Citizen CNC machines.
Plastic experience not necessary but some would be of advantage, training can be provided for the suitable candidate.
So, we are looking for.
- Self-Starter with the ability to work on their initiative.
- Experience in producing precision parts
- Able to operate Citizen CNC slliding head machines
- Sliding Head experience
- Plastic experience not necessary but some would be of advantage.

- Working hours 08:00 – 16:30 weekdays + overtime
Knowledge / Experience
- Good engineering background or educated within an mechanical engineering subject.
- Team player
- Ability to read dimensioned engineering drawings
Skills
- Good organisation, planning and Prioritising of skills.
- Some experience of general manual production machines.
- Skilled in the use of: CNC Machinery
- Ability to work on own initiative
