CNC Engineer / Setter / Turner
Location: Stevenage –own transport needed due to location
Salary: £34,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (overtime available)
Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom plastic components, is seeking a skilled CNC Engineer / Setter / Turner to join their experienced and small team. This role has become available due to retirement and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality, intricate plastic components for a wide range of industries. Working with the company’s extensive range of modern Citizen CNC sliding head machines, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the business’s reputation for exceptional precision and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting, operating, and maintaining Citizen CNC sliding head machines
- Producing precision-engineered parts to tight tolerances
- Working independently to manage workloads and ensure deadlines are met
- Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production
- Supporting continuous improvement and sharing best practices within the team
About You
- A proactive, self-motivated individual who can work confidently on their own initiative
- Experience producing precision components (plastic or metal)
- Knowledge of Citizen CNC machines and sliding head experience preferred
- Plastic machining experience beneficial but not essential – full training provided for the right candidate
- A strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
