The Role:
Responsible for the day to day commercial management of a retail business unit & the development of profitable sustainable growth in line with company strategy.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s business and to develop strong relationships with the buying team, to create Category plans that dovetails with needs and exceed revenue and margin targets.
To deliver robust sales data and KPI analysis and communicate findings to the wider team which enable good decision making in terms of promotional / category plans and business improvement initiatives.
Full Commercial P&L responsibility for accounts requiring leadership to develop the skills of the business unit team to achieve best in industry reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation of key account strategies/account development
Maintain positive commercial relationships
Continually review product & range performance
KPI recording and monitoring
Develop and maintain an Account Handbook
Resolve and expedite any customer complaints and claims
The Person:
Multiple retail account management experience gained within a short life environment
First hand knowledge and exposure of the multiple retail market and trends including competitor activities and product ranges
Familiar with the global supply chain and associated dynamics
Able to monitor market trends/data and identify potential business opportunities
